Three SARVA Users' Workshops are being held in November:
Tuesday, 16 November 2010 from 8:15 to 16:00 at the Havana Restaurant's Glass Enclosed Deck 2 (GED2), Suncoast Conference Centre, Durban
Thursday, 18 November 2010 from 8:15 to 16:00 at the CSIR Knowledge Commons in Pretoria
Tuesday, 23 November 2010 from 8:15 to 16:00 at the Life Sciences Building, University of the Western Cape, Cape Town
The workshop will include a hands-on beta training session to familiarise targeted public sector users with the electronic spatial database that forms the information backbone of the Atlas.
The workshop will also provide an excellent opportunity for participants to get to know more about the project, inform next steps and meet some of the other users.
Please note that in order to be accepted for registration you must fill out the users' questionnaire. The information from the questionnaire will be analysed and will form the basis of workshop discussions.
We encourage institutions to nominate staff members involved on the use of technical (including spatial) information in planning.
Please RSVP no later than Thursday 11 November 2010 by completing the registration form. As attendance is limited and registration will be strictly on a first-come first-served basis, prospective participants are advised to register without delay.
